Member provincial Assembly (MPA) Sindh Irum Azeem Farooqi has resigned from MQM and the legislative assembly following the anti-Pakistan slogans by MQM chief Altaf Hussain during a telephonic address to party workers.

On Twitter, Irum Azeem said she had decided to quit two days ago but had not disclosed her decision due to the hunger strike by MQM workers at the Karachi Press Club today.

Irum Farooqui announced her resignation from MPA seat in Sindh Assembly and MQM’s membership. Appealing MQM workers not to take law into their hands, Irum Farooqui said that violence was solution to nothing. She also condemned the attack on private TV channel ARY News.
